350° L. Made from organically-grown 2-row barley, certified by Oregon Tilth. Contributes a range of brown hues and roasted coffee and cocoa flavor, depending on usage rate. Use 1-10% for color adjustment and chocolate flavor. Ideal for porters, brown ales, stout, and other dark styles.

    Excellent flavor!

    I’ve been grinding this and adding it in small quantities to naturally leavened bread, replicating the dark maltiness of a porter beer in artisan bread. It’s been a big hit at the farmers market I sell at!

    Used as in a steep and during fermentation, flavor really pops when used with heavy charred park for a week or two.

    Fabulous as usual. Adds nice body and rich undertones, especially when combined with dark roasted crystal malt and barley malt.
